Terms of Service for Organizations
They apply to nonprofits, foundations, NGOs, educational institutions and other community organizations that subscribe to Conexta.
1. Who we are and what these terms are
Conexta (“Conexta”, “we”) operates a health-sector network that connects doctors, patients, students and organizations. These terms govern the use of Conexta by an organization (“the Organization”, “you”) through a organization account.
By submitting the subscription request and ticking the acceptance box, you declare that you have read these terms and the Privacy Policy for Organizations, and that you may accept them on behalf of the Organization.
2. Who may request and use a organization account
The request must be made by a person over 18 who has authority to bind the Organization. That person is the main contact and is responsible for the accuracy of the information.
One account corresponds to one Organization. If you need to represent several, you must request one account for each.
You warrant that the Organization legally exists, that the data and documents submitted are true and current, and that it holds the licenses or authorizations required for its activity where the law requires them.
3. Request and verification
Every request is reviewed manually. Conexta may approve it, ask for more information or reject it, and is not obliged to approve any request. Having received an invitation from Conexta does not guarantee approval.
We may ask for documents to verify the identity and activity of the Organization. Messages about the status of the request are sent only to the registered email address; for security they are not shown on screen.
Until the request is approved there is no account and you cannot use the services. Once approved, we will email you a code to create your password.
4. Your account
You are responsible for your password and for all activity carried out with the account. You must keep your email up to date and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
You may not transfer the account or share it with third parties outside the Organization.
5. What an Organization can do on Conexta
Depending on its plan and the limits in force, the Organization may have a profile, offer contributions (for example supplies, spaces or services) to community projects run by verified organizations, and collaborate with health professionals who take part in those projects.
The starting plan is free and has usage limits. Conexta may offer other plans and change features or limits, giving reasonable advance notice when the change significantly affects you.
6. Rules of use
The Organization agrees not to:
- use Conexta for unlawful, misleading or fraudulent purposes, or impersonate another person or organization;
- publish false, discriminatory or offensive information, or information that infringes third-party rights;
- send mass advertising or unsolicited messages, or use contact details received for any purpose other than the project or collaboration for which they were shared;
- promote regulated products, treatments or services without complying with the rules that govern them;
- upload or share health data of identifiable people, unless there is a clear legal basis and the person has given consent;
- interfere with the security or operation of Conexta, or try to access other accounts’ data.
7. The Organization’s content
The Organization keeps its rights over its trademarks, logos and content. It grants us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to display them within Conexta while the account is active, solely to provide the service.
You are responsible for the content you publish. We may review, hide or remove content that breaches these terms.
8. Contact with people and organizations
Conexta does not offer chat between users. Contact between an Organization and other people takes place by email and, only if the person consented when applying, by mobile phone. You must use those details only for the stated purpose and respect the person’s decision not to be contacted.
9. Plans and payments
If you purchase a paid plan, prices, billing period and cancellation terms will be shown before purchase. Applicable taxes are your responsibility. Unless the law provides otherwise, payments made are not refundable for periods already provided.
10. What Conexta is not and does not guarantee
Conexta is a connection platform. It is not a party to agreements between Organizations, professionals, patients or community organizations, and does not guarantee that a project will take place, that a person will attend, or the outcome of any collaboration.
The verification we perform is a reasonable review of the documents received; it is not a certification or a guarantee about the Organization. Nothing on Conexta is medical, legal or tax advice.
Participation certificates are issued by the community organization and, additionally, by Conexta with a verification code; their validity before third parties depends on each institution.
11. Suspension and closure of the account
We may suspend or close the account, with or without prior notice depending on severity, if the Organization breaches these terms, provided false information, poses a risk to others, or the law requires it.
You may close your account at any time from the app, at conexta.us/eliminar-datos or by writing to info@conexta.us. Closure is immediate; your data is deleted after 30 days and backups may take up to 90 days to be renewed. There is no reactivation: registering again with the same email creates a new account. Some records may be kept where the law requires it (see the Privacy Policy).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a number and a date. If a change is significant, we will ask you to accept it again before you keep using the account; if you disagree, you may close it.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Conexta is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or losses arising from agreements between users, third-party content or service interruptions. Nothing here limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without prejudice to the mandatory protection rules of your country. Before going to court, the parties will try in good faith to resolve the dispute by writing to info@conexta.us.
